The Artist
 Hayley is as A proud Dharug woman, living and painting her dreams on Worimi Country Port Stephens. She started Nangamay Designs while on maternity leave after her first son was born and was really struggling with her identity and self for a period when she found painting. Hayley paints what she dreams and what’s sent to her from her ancestors. She believes in creating a safe place for the mob and community to be involved in culture.
The Artwork
 The artwork depicts interconnected lines leading to a central meeting place, symbolising the sharing of culture and stories across generations. These lines also represent the individual journeys we each take through life. Circular patterns signify community, the gathering of younger generations, and the emergence of future leaders. Footprints are prominently featured, honouring those who walked before us, while buildings represent the accumulation of knowledge and experience passed down from one generation to the next.
